About Us

What does motherhood look like when we put Jesus in charge of our lives?

One thing it looks like is togetherness: sharing the joys, the challenges, the laughs, and the nitty-gritty details of motherhood with one another.  That’s what we’re trying to do here.

As we write together on this blog, we’re hoping to keep answering that question in lots of different ways.  We’ll share words the Lord has given us, and stories of God working in our lives; we’ll recommend books, movies, & music that have helped us or brought us joy; we’ll share recipes, home-ec tips, and parenting ideas; we’ll talk about marriage, children, fashion, home decor, and only the Lord knows what else!  All these things are part of motherhood with Jesus and with one another.

The authors of this blog are all members of a Christian community, the People of Praise, but this blog is not sponsored or reviewed by the People of Praise.  Any views expressed on the blog are solely those of the author who expressed them, and should not necessarily be taken as representative of People of Praise teachings.

If you are interested in Christian community or want to know more about it, please feel free to contact the blog authors for more information about their lives in the People of Praise.  We’ve each been blessed by our lives in Christian community and would be happy to share more.  Meanwhile, we’re happy to be sharing life with you here at Uncommon Motherhood!

  1. Ladies, sisters in Christ, thank you for this outreach! Only a mom for 20 days, I’ve already turned to your blog many times and found so much comfort, wisdom, and encouragement in my faith. Thank you and I will pray for you and your families.
